Justworks is a supportive and data-driven company that simplifies HR and benefits administration for small businesses. They seek an experienced Customer Support Specialist to handle benefits-related inquiries and provide expert solutions while enhancing the customer experience.

Skills

  • Customer service expertise in benefits-related inquiries.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Proficient with Zendesk, JIRA, Talkdesk or similar tools.
  • Time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts clearly.
  • Knowledge of benefits laws and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of customer benefits issues including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, HSA/FSA, Commuter benefits, and wellness perks.
  • Serve as a benefits subject matter expert and resource for customers and coworkers.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, tickets, and chat to help customers administer group health and welfare plans.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues using plan documents and business rules.
  • Manage a queue of open issues to deliver timely solutions.
  • Maintain professionalism and compassion when addressing sensitive customer matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 125, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and applicable laws.
  • Communicate policies, benefit eligibility, and employee rights effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve products and processes.

Education

  • Relevant training or certification in benefits or HR preferred but not mandatory.
