Assistant Professor, Visual Arts
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will: teach a 3-3 load of undergraduate studio courses per year including ceramics and at least two of the three foundation courses (drawing, 2D design, 3D design); participate in innovative teaching and curriculum development; conduct and disseminate scholarship and/or juried creative activity as appropriate to appointment; advise and mentor undergraduate students; and actively participate in department, school and university committees.
Required Qualifications:
- Master of Fine Arts;
- Teaching experience appropriate to rank;
- Effective oral and written communication skills;
- Evidence of a program of research and/or creative scholarship appropriate to rank.
Desired Qualifications:
- Evidence of focus on student-centered learning;
- Evidence of participation in innovative teaching and curriculum development;
- Ability to interact with colleagues in a team environment.
- Experience within a program that is NASAD accredited.
