Job Description
This position in our Glenview, IL Kraft Heinz Innovation center involves developing, validating and troubleshooting analytical testing methods used at the factory. Candidate will have responsibilities that include interacting with food Research and Development, Quality, and Factory personnel to identify needs and develop fit-for-purpose analytical solutions. This is an ideal opportunity for a scientist who enjoys methods development, validation and problem solving as well as developing unique solutions for factory process monitoring for control.
The successful candidate will plan and execute independent projects, participate in development of project objectives, and execute against same, recommending action plans to implement key findings. The candidate should have aptitudes for application and maintenance of complex analytical instrumentation. The candidate will be evaluated on communication skills and potential for demonstrating technical leadership within a scientifically and culturally diverse organization.
RELATIONSHIPS (EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL):
Will collaborate with internal clients, including R&D, Quality and plant personnel.
Will interact with equipment/instrument manufacturers, external lab partners and suppliers.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Firsthand experience and/or knowledge of a variety of analytical instrumentation including chemical sensors, auto titrators, Near Infrared, Infrared, Raman and NMR spectrometers, etc.
Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of analytical method development, calibration, validation, and troubleshooting test methods.
Demonstrated ability to work and influence the Factories, Quality, and Corporate Analytical organizations to deliver improved quality and value for in-factory chemical and physical tests.
Know-how to manage and collaborate with external partners
Working knowledge of ISO17025:2017
B.S. degree in chemistry, physics, or related field with 4 years of experience or M.S degree in related field with 2 years of experience or PhD degree in a related field.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$77,800.00 - $97,300.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
