Senior Tax Analyst

Fastly is looking for a tax professional to assist with global direct and indirect taxes.  The Senior Tax Analyst will work with the Senior Tax Managers primarily on the global tax provision and non-U.S tax compliance.  As time permits the Senior Tax Analyst will also assist with U.S. direct taxes.  This role reports to the Senior Director, Tax.  

What You'll Do:

• Prepare quarterly and annual global tax provision workpapers and supporting documentation
• Coordinate the preparation of non-U.S. income tax and VAT/GST returns with the outsourced service providers
• Prepare direct and indirect tax accruals, payments, and account reconciliations
• Identify and implement tax process improvements
• Prepare documentation for tax processes and internal controls
• Monitor and analyze tax legislation and communicate the impact to the company
• Prepare U.S. federal and state income/franchise tax workpapers and calculations as time permits
• Assist with other tax projects, as needed 

What We're Looking For: 

• 5+ years of experience with global tax provision and non-U.S. direct and indirect tax compliance
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
• Excellent project management and organization skills
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving ability
• Highly motivated, hard-working, and able to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment
• Experience working with global taxes in a technology company is preferred

Work Hours: 

• This position will require you to be available during core business hours. 

Work Locations & Travel Requirements: 

This position is open to both hybrid and remote work locations. The preferred hybrid locations for this position are: 

• San Francisco, CA
• New York, NY
• Denver, CO

Fastly currently embraces a largely hybrid model for most roles which allows employees flexibility to split their time between the office and home.  

We are also willing to consider remote candidates in US (Remote).

This position may require travel as required by your role or requested by your manager.

Salary: 

The estimated salary range for this position is $97,070 to $137,040.

Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

This role may be eligible to participate in Fastly’s equity and discretionary bonus programs.
