As a Full Stack Software Engineer I in the Lodging Core Experience team you are involved in all aspects of software development, including participating in technical designs, implementation, functional analysis, and release for mid-to-large sized projects. The Expedia Lodging Platform team is the business powerhouse for the Expedia group and contributes the largest share of our company’s revenue. The Lodging Platform teams power two main lines of business, Lodging Shopping and Lodging Supply, and cover ten+ major Product areas. Our Lodging Platform operations are global, with representation in 8 countries and 17 offices.

What you’ll do:

• Develop, design, debug, and modify components of software applications and tools

• Communicate and work effectively with geographically distributed multi-functional teams

• Participate in code reviews to assess overall code quality and flexibility

• Resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur with peers. Follow through on details and drive issues to closure

• Define, develop, and maintain artifacts like the technical design or partner documentation

• Commit to continuous improvement in software and development process within an agile development team

Who you are:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or any other related field; or equivalent related professional experience

• Experience in Agile/Scrum software development practices

• Effective interpersonal and intrapersonal skills with the ability to present sophisticated technical information clearly and concisely

• 1-3+ years' experience in Software Engineering

• Strong experience in writing transactional web services using REST or distributed RPC technologies

• Experience in one or more of the following: Java and Java Frameworks, React.js, Node, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Docker, Gradle, Grunt

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $87,500.00 to $122,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $140,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
