Responsibilities
- Shape the design of scalable, modular, and high-performance data systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data pipelines for analytics and reporting.
- Develop and optimize ELT workflows using tools like Airbyte, Fivetran, dbt, and Python.
- Design and maintain data models in Snowflake supporting AI and text-to-SQL interfaces.
- Enhance data observability via monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Implement open table formats (e.g., Apache Iceberg) for flexible and scalable data systems.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud teams to optimize AWS infrastructure for cost and performance.
- Maintain best engineering practices including version control, code reviews, CI/CD, and automated testing.
- Mentor other engineers and analytics professionals to promote high-quality standards.
- Stay updated on emerging data technologies and recommend improvements.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related technical field preferred.
