Staff Security Engineer
Skills
- Deep knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, and other security standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of security engineering, network security, authentication, security protocols, and cryptography.
- Experience designing secure architectures for cloud systems and corporate networks.
- Proficiency with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Hands-on experience with AWS foundational services and security management.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage Information Security Program including incident response, vulnerability management, and risk management.
- Plan and execute vulnerability assessments of products and cloud infrastructure.
- Lead Cybersecurity Incident Response Team for investigating security incidents.
- Lead regulatory readiness assessments and develop compliance strategies (SOX, SOC2, FERPA, ISO27001, NIST).
- Document and maintain security policies, processes, and standards; represent Security Team during audits.
- Coordinate responses to customer security and data protection questionnaires and interface with Legal Team.
- Perform technical security assessments, architecture, and design reviews of products and cloud infrastructure.
- Provide security expertise and guidance across engineering and business teams.
- Develop technical solutions to mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Manage remediation and mitigation for identified security risks.
- Ensure ongoing auditing and maintenance of technical security controls.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field is preferred.
