Responsibilities
Community Regional is home to the region’s only Level I Trauma Center and includes five dedicated Med Surg units supporting a wide spectrum of care. In this 61-bed unit, our team works in close partnership with trauma physician assistants and case managers to care for a wide range of complex medical and surgical patients. This environment emphasizes patient safety, fall prevention and infection control in a highly collaborative setting.
- Apply the leadership and administrative skills you developed at the bedside to support a large, multidisciplinary team focused on trauma-informed care and surgical recovery.
- Coordinate patient care, foster staff development, drive performance improvements and ensure operational efficiency while partnering closely with trauma and case management teams.
- Foster a positive working environment in your unit as part of an inclusive workplace where diversity and individual differences are valued, and you actively help team members navigate their career growth and development.
As a member of the unit leadership team, the Assistant Nurse Manager is an exempt level role scheduled 8-hour shifts.
Qualifications
- RN – Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required
- BLS – Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Certifications as required for the unit
