Responsibilities:
Conducts routine checks and calibrations on medical equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
Addresses malfunctions in both basic and complex medical devices, coordinating with supervisors for more intricate issues.
Oversees the tracking and organization of reusable medical equipment (RME), ensuring accurate records and timely availability for surgical procedures.
Disassembles, cleans, and sterilizes surgical instruments, adhering to strict aseptic protocols to prevent infections.
Ensures that surgical instrument sets are correctly assembled, tested, and packaged, ready for use in operating rooms.
Identifies equipment issues and collaborate with vendors or internal teams to facilitate necessary repairs, minimizing downtime.
Keeps decontamination and preparation areas clean and organized, following infection control guidelines to ensure a safe environment.
Assists clinical staff with equipment usage and maintenance, offering guidance and training as needed to ensure proper handling.
May perform other duties as assigned.
