Children’s Mercy offers one of the longest standing pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgery programs in the Midwest region. Our team includes many different types of pediatric specialists who all work together with together to create a care plan for our patients. We provide more reconstructive and cosmetic procedures than any other program in the region. Under the direction and in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager provides guidance, supervision, and leadership for unit staff. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager with unit based materials management. The Assistant Nurse Manager provides family-centered patient care that is based in scientific theory and is outcome focused, supervises the delivery of patient care and manages shift operations, and demonstrates commitment to maintaining and improving departmental/unit standards. The Assistant Nurse Manager solves problems effectively, communicating and collaborating with all stakeholders.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $36.75/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
