Position Summary:

The Field Enablement Team is the catalyst for empowering the field to drive transformative customer experiences that give patients hope.  The Field Enablement Team is a dynamic organization that is executing on excellence in building expertise and knowledge for our sales teams.  As Learning Manager, you will be working amongst the best in your profession and will collaborate with talented and dedicated professionals committed to advancing learning.

The US Field Enablement Team is currently seeking a talented training professional who possesses the skills needed to ensure both the immediate and long-term success of our training organization.  The Learning Manager role is a field-based position with the primary job responsibility of onboarding new commercial customer facing teams to their role, and effectively elevate the clinical knowledge, selling skills, and functional capabilities of teams across US business units and key brands while in role.

This position reports to the Associate Director, US Commercialization Learning Field Enablement.  In this role, the Learning Manager will work collaboratively with therapeutic area (TA) home office training teams and the Center of Excellence to execute on business unit (BU) and TA priorities. The Learning Manager will also work across the matrix with Sales Representatives, Sales leaders (Regional Business Directors and District Business Managers), Marketing, Medical and Sales Operations to assess, design and deliver training solutions to meet the objectives identified by the brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with training colleagues, Sales, Operations, Marketing leadership, consistently implementing results-focused, performance-based, standardized training and development processes

  • Plan, schedule and execute new hire training sessions including classroom workshops both in the live and virtual settings across a multiple phase learning journey. Key competencies of focus will include Scientific Agility, Selling Skills/Customer engagement, Product & Disease State Knowledge, Business Analytics, and some Above Brand competencies

  • Implement key components of the Commercialization Model into the new hire learning journey (e.g., Medical On Call, Ways Of Working, Customer Engagement Model, Competencies)

  • Identify and utilize innovative learning solutions to facilitate adult learning, pull through of training and virtual training capabilities.

  • Streamline and align training delivery across therapeutic areas and indications to ensure consistent quality learning experience

  • Lead and conduct verbal validations and certifications

  • Lead and conduct Train the Trainer sessions

  • Manage Field Engagement Team preceptors (NFTs/DSTs) ensuring delivery of key projects. This includes equipping preceptors with skills to deliver new hire and advanced training curricula

  • Assess and analyze the effectiveness of new hire and other assigned training programs and initiatives utilizing Kirkpatrick Model

  • Flex to other therapeutic areas and brands as needed to assist with learning activities

  • Adhere to Adult Learning Principles and learning measurement methodologies

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; Master’s degree preferred

  • 5 years of pharmaceutical field experience preferred

  • Oncology sales or sales training experience is highly preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in matrix teams

  • Demonstrated track record of developing self & others to drive and enhance performance

  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills, potentially including previous experience leading workshops at sales meetings or new hire classes

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects

  • The ability to bring strong leadership, execution, and a winning mindset to the role

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively create and communicate new hire strategic learning plans and curricula

  • Ability to travel for multiple meeting engagements (e.g., Managers Meetings, National Plan of Action Meetings, various Training Initiatives, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Power Point, Excel and Word and other applications

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $121,980-$147,800, plus incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility). The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience. Eligibility for specific benefits listed on our careers site may vary based on the job and location. Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility.
