This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence Analyst who will help us accelerate the transformation of the Finance organization focused on creating long-term value that evolves its talent to deliver business insights, processes and controls to act with speed, and technology and data to evolve with the enterprise needs. You will own end-to-end reporting solutions, partner with team members and drive improvements. You will have ownership of work, cross-functional influence and contributions to enterprise-wise initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of finance and data - building robust analytics solutions that enable speed, clarity, and insight across our enterprise. You will collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting and cross-functional teams to drive standardization and simplification through data visualization, financial modeling, and automation.

This role is available on-site in Kent, Washington with relocation provided.

Responsibilities:

  • Dashboard and Reporting Support: Assist in building and maintaining intuitive, scalable dashboards and self-service reporting tools using Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Data Translation: Help translate complex financial and operational data into relevant, actionable insights for business leaders.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with Finance, Accounting, and multi-functional collaborators to define metrics, KPIs, and data needs aligned to strategic goals.
  • Standardization Efforts: Support efforts to standardize reporting through automation, reusable templates, and common definitions.
  • Financial Workflows: Assist in month-end close reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and planning workflows.
  • Data Quality: Collaborate with enterprise technology and data analytics teams to ensure data quality, governance, and availability.
  • Ad-hoc Analysis: Contribute to ad-hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and critical initiatives that guide decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in business intelligence, financial analysis, or a related field—preferably within or supporting a Finance function.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
    • Working knowledge of SQL or another data query language.
  • Communication: Good interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with partners across levels.
  • U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Cultural Fit: Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: Experience in an enterprise finance organization, supporting reporting and planning processes.
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with financial systems and cloud data platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, OneStream, and Databricks.
  • Programming: Proficiency with Python or R for automation or advanced analytics.
  • Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL workflows.
  • AI/ML: Experience applying AI or machine learning tools to accelerate analytics workflows.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven resilience in solving ambiguous or sophisticated data challenges.
  • Trust Building: Track record of building trust and credibility through analytical rigor and partnership.


 

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $67,681.00-$94,753.05

  • Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles:  Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation

  • Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification, Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.

  • Paid Time Off:  Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

  • Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
