Purpose of the role
To build and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, using hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms as required with the aim of ensuring that the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of the systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.

Barclays is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer - VP to design, build, and maintain infrastructure platforms and products that support our applications and data systems. This role involves working with a combination of hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing technologies to ensure the infrastructure is reliable, scalable, and secure.
To be successful as a Senior DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer - VP, you should have experience with:
Fundamentals in software engineering and experience in Java/Spring/Microservices
Applying Resilience-patterns/Circuit-breakers
Infrastructure as code (IaC)
CI/CD pipelines and automation
Observability tooling (Dataforce, Dynatrace, ELK, Data Dog)
Some other highly valued skills may include:
Experience with event-driven architectures/message-brokers
Knowledge of container-orchestration in OpenShift or public cloud environments
Understanding of performance-optimization with distributed-caching

This role is located in Whippany, New Jersey.
Minimum Salary $160,000
Maximum Salary $230,000
