Job Description:

The Association for Talent Development (ATD) is the premiere membership organization for those dedicated to the learning and talent development industry. This Role…

As a Marketing Specialist at ATD, you will report to our Manager, Global Marketing, supporting marketing and demand generation efforts across all Global product lines, such as Events, Education, and Membership and all regional markets. This is a dynamic role with the ability to have a big impact on digital marketing and contribute to brand-wide sales and promotions.

In this position you will be a key part of helping finalize marketing campaigns, aligning audience targeting, overseeing performance, and providing essential marketing support. This role is heavily focused on executing and supporting marketing tactics in channels such as email, website, digital advertising, social media, print, and more.

Specifically, the key initiatives you will support in this role include:

  • Coordinate with Global Marketing Manager to build and launch cross-functional marketing initiatives, including emails, newsletters, digital, website, and print campaigns.
  • Collaborate with global product stakeholders to align on campaign goals, messaging, timelines, and assets.
  • Support lead generation initiatives to build our database.
  • Assisting with the building and maintenance of web pages.
  • Maintain and update the marketing calendar.
  • Collaborate with creative and editorial teams to request and finalize assets.
  • Partner with the marketing managers for digital campaigns.
  • Track and report on campaign performance, including email metrics and other key indicators.

About You…

  • 1 - 3 years of marketing experience, including copywriting and email marketing experience.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Google, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram.
  • You are a self-starter, comfortable taking initiative, and able to quickly learn systems and technology.
  • You have a can-do attitude, are extremely organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • You are a great communicator- you excel at communicating clearly, both digitally and in-person to coordinate with team members and stakeholders cross-functionally.
  • An eagerness and willingness to learn and grow in your profession.

Meet the Marketing Team…

  • The marketing team is a 19-person team with deep expertise in varying product lines and marketing.
  • This is a collaborative team who work closely together to support ATD’s business objectives.
  • We work in cooperation with other departments to provide members and nonmembers with knowledge and understanding of ATD's products and services.
  • We also manage ATD's social media presence and engage with our global community of practitioners on all major social platforms.

Our Work Environment…

  • The Association for Talent Development is a hybrid organization headquartered in Alexandria, VA.
  • You will be expected to be in the office a minimum of two days a week.
