Chief Nursing Officer

Ash & Harris Executive Search is seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) to join our executive leadership team. In this pivotal role, the CNO will oversee the nursing operations across our healthcare facilities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and the implementation of best practices in nursing. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic leadership skills and a proven track record in nursing administration, along with a deep understanding of healthcare policies, regulations, and standards. As the CNO, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship, and professional growth among nursing staff, while collaborating with other executives to shape the healthcare organization’s strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and vision for nursing services within the organization.
  • Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Oversee nursing staff recruitment, retention, and professional development programs.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and multidisciplinary teams to align clinical practices with overall organizational objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards in nursing practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate nursing performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Advocate for the nursing profession and foster a positive work environment that encourages excellence and innovation.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field; Doctorate preferred.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire diverse nursing teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
