Agency Services Manager

Description

Arkansas Foodbank is seeking a relationship-driven Agency Services Manager to join our team. The Agency Services Manager is a key member of the Programs Department and works collaboratively to implement new strategies and initiatives. They are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community partners and supporting agency operations through communication, compliance oversight, and network development. This position requires up to 60% in-state travel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The statements contained herein describe the scope of responsibility and essential functions of this position but should not be considered to be an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.  Individuals may perform other duties as assigned including work in other areas to cover absences or to equalize peak work periods or otherwise balance the workload.  Individuals in this position may occasionally work irregular hours as necessary.

  1. Oversee all aspects of agency compliance with state, federal, Arkansas Foodbank, Feeding America, and food safety standards, including site visits, monitoring, and issue resolution.
  2. Lead agency recruitment, onboarding, and intake processes.
  3. Plan, implement, and evaluate strategies that build agency capacity and promote network collaboration.
  4.  Develop and manage work plans for agency distributions, site visits, and grant requirements.
  5. Coordinate delivery logistics with Operations and support efforts to reduce service gaps.
  6. Provide technical assistance and policy guidance to agencies.
  7. Maintain accurate records and databases, ensuring data integrity.
  8. Partner with Programs and Operations teams to execute integrated approaches to customer service, communication, and programming.
  9. Provide content for agency communications, including the newsletter and website, and support Development needs as appropriate.
  10.  Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certification to ensure compliance with food safety standards and practices 
  11. Lead agency and community meetings, training sessions, and special events.
  12. Participate in departmental planning, budgeting, and staff development.
  13. Support program evaluation and development of funding proposals and reports.
  14. Supervise assigned staff effectively.
  15. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and professionalism in both independent and team settings.
  16. Communicate effectively in writing and in person with a range of diverse audiences.
  17. Manage multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency.
  18. Utilize Arkansas Foodbank software systems daily and be open to learning new technology.
  19. Requires up to 60% in-state travel.

Working Conditions

This job operates in the community and in a professional office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to hot and/or humid conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and lift/move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently required to operate vehicles.

Requirements

The following qualifications are preferred for the candidate or employee, however, other job-related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements upon approval of management. 

  • The equivalent of a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) preferably in Social Work, Business, Nonprofit Management, Community Development, Health Administration, or a related field
  •  Minimum three (3) years of experience in community outreach, service leadership, social services or related field 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint OneNote, Forms, and Teams
  • Experience in a non-profit organization is preferred 
  • Valid Arkansas driver’s license and proof of insurance required
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must pass a preemployment drug screening
  • Must travel in-state 60% of the time
