Job Description:
Position Summary:
The goal of Digital Workplace is to make a significant and positive impact on the way Airbus employees work,
collaborate and share information as well as providing a foundational step for the digital transformation of Airbus. This is
achieved through the deployment and support of new tools and technologies enabling better cross functional
collaboration, improved productivity, greater company integration, and improved transparency and more open and
horizontal information exchange.
The Product Owner plays a critical role in delivering and evolving key IT services that directly impact employee productivity and satisfaction. This is a strategic and operational role that blends product ownership, project execution, service delivery, and regional IT representation. The position requires strong business acumen, deep understanding of end-user technology needs, and the ability to balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution.
The successful candidate will serve as the product owner for the global managed printing and scanning service (currently delivered via Xerox), project manager for digital workplace initiatives, and regional proximity support lead for MMS (Mobile Manufacturing Site), ensuring local needs are addressed in global strategies. In addition, this role contributes to continuous improvement, stakeholder engagement, and the overall maturity of the Digital Workplace function.
Primary Responsibilities:
Product Ownership and Service Delivery – Printing & Scanning Services: 35%
Act as the service owner and escalation point for the Xerox-managed print and scan service across the organization.
Engage with the Airbus Central counterpart for NA alignment of services and technologies.
Ensure Xerox aligns with current Airbus objectives. Lead quarterly service review meetings with Xerox and key internal stakeholders.
Be the regional driver for global Printing & Scanning contract alignment by 2030.
Monitor service health, performance metrics, and SLAs, ensuring vendor accountability and continuous improvement.
Oversee cost optimization, device lifecycle planning, user adoption, and operational support strategies.
Collaborate with facilities and security teams to manage on-site hardware deployment and secure printing practices
Contribute to the service planning process by identifying the technical support requirements for the new products.
Balances technological opportunities with business (process) requirements.
Help ensure interfaces are intuitive, efficient, and require minimal effort for users to navigate.
Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to guarantee service uptime and accessibility across multiple devices.
Manage the internal facing service catalog for services, updated annually, as services mature and change
over time.
Manage the printing and scanning budget in North America.
North America Proximity Support: 30%
Develop relationships with other Digital service delivery managers and domain leaders to build a comprehensive knowledge base of articles across the full spectrum of Digital services.
Work with relevant Digital and business teams to maintain a stable industrial environment for the NA Roof.
Local POC for Digital Workplace User Experience PSL.
Liaise with DW team in Europe to track, follow-up, and act as a point of contact for new products, services, and escalation.
Standardize support processes, procedures and escalation services across all Airbus NA Roof.
Projects: 25%
Plan, coordinate, and deliver critical Digital Workplace projects such as Windows 11 deployments, endpoint modernization, and collaboration tool rollouts.
Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource needs.
Manage cross-functional stakeholders, including IT, HR, Security, Facilities, and external vendors.
Track and report project progress, risks, and key milestones to leadership and steering committees.
Ensure that change management, communication, and training activities are embedded in every deployment.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Support: 10%
Contribute to the development of service roadmaps and strategy documents for the Digital Workplace portfolio.
Participate in Digital governance forums, vendor reviews, audit support, and innovation pilots.
Identify and recommend opportunities to improve employee experience, reduce costs, or increase service agility.
Support special initiatives or other tasks as assigned by IT leadership.
Provide input for annual budgeting. Works with business stakeholders to identify and capture (operational and project) cost elements in the Digital AOP budget.
