Skills
- Design, develop, and launch backend systems at scale using Python or Kotlin.
- Develop highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with payment processing, card networks, or transaction routing is a plus.
- Ability to define and execute elegant, extensible technical designs.
- Proficient in managing changes in large codebases with proper tools and practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication for global collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the engineering team, leading through ambiguity and problem-solving open-ended challenges.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to support product development lifecycle and influence technical decisions.
- Identify and lead resolution of project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Support operations and availability by creating metrics, monitoring systems, and participating in on-call activities.
- Promote a culture of quality and ownership through code review standards, design standards, and internal advocacy.
- Develop team talent through feedback, guidance, and exemplary leadership.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
