👋 I’m Sofie, and I’m the Director of Talent Acquisition at A1 Garage Door. I’m glad you’re here!

I am looking for a Field Recruiter to join my team here in Phoenix.

We work a hybrid schedule, 2 days remote, and 3 days in office.

(Our office is located in Phoenix, at the corner of 32nd Street and E Broadway Rd.)

Our company was founded in 2007, and we have since grown to be the largest residential garage door service in North America, operating in 40 markets across 20+ states. Our company is on a major growth path, as we are growing our revenue from $250M/yr to $1B/yr in the next few years.

The recruiting team is small but mighty. A total of 3 recruiters will hire over 400+ employees this year. We leverage technology to automate tasks, so we have time for the tasks best left to humans. Keep reading if you’d like to know more!

About this Role:

As a Field Recruiter you will bring your passion for candidate experience and your drive for results to support one of 3 regions in the US. You may occasionally take ownership of other roles such as Dispatch, Customer Engagement and a few others in our corporate functions.

Field recruiters support Area Managers and VP’s to staff their locations with ambitious Sales and Service Technicians (the bulk of our hiring) as well as managers and warehouse associates. This is high volume recruiting. Our recruiters screen 30-40 candidates each week, as well as manage hiring manager meetings, coordinate scheduling as well as send offers.

(This role is not quite full cycle recruiting, however. For example, in this role, we do not currently engage in sourcing passive candidates, nor do we negotiate offers, as pay rates are pre-established for most jobs, and pay transparency is published on every job.)

Role Requirements:

  • You have one or more years’ experience in managing 15+ reqs in a multi-location market. (Think: retail, service, food service etc)

  • You autonomously maintain a calendar full of screens and average 3-5+ offers a week

  • You have demonstrated that you care about delivering an outstanding candidate experience screen after screen. You know how to create raving fans and you can speak to it

  • You have demonstrated that you can own the hiring manager experience and deliver qualified candidates that they are excited to onboard

  • You thrive in a high tech environment and you are willing to try new things, including automated tasks and AI enhanced recruiting.

  • ‍⚙️You are methodical, reliable and trustworthy. You do not let candidates and open jobs fall through the cracks

  • ‍‍⚡You move fast, you’re always busy and you flex your time to get more done

  • ‍📈 You are detail oriented, and you obsess over data hygiene and a “clean deck”. Your ATS shines and you like it that way

This job may not be for you if:

  • 🐺You are a lone wolf. It takes a village to hire at A1, and we interact with multiple stakeholders and different teams daily

  • 🤵🏻Your experience is mostly executive recruiting or tech recruiting. High volume is not “easier” than executive or tech…it’s whole different animal

  • 🪑You are a "butts in seats" recruiter. We value quality over quantity

  • 🤖You don’t like new technology and trying new things. You have already decided that “AI is not for recruiting”

  • 🤦🏻‍♀️You rely on other people to get things done (coordinators, TA ops, admin support etc)

Basic Requirements:

  • 1+ year as multi location, field recruiter AND/OR

  • 1+ year recruiting for G&A and GTM

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background check

  • Knowledge of recruiting software such as Lever, Greenhouse, Workday etc, HUGE PLUS for Ashby ATS experience

  • GED or HS diploma required

  • Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States

  • Available to work in person 3 days a week

The Interview Process:

  • Role will be open for 2 weeks

  • All applications will be reviewed within 5 days: you can expect to be moved forward to a screen or receive a thank you message

  • 30 minutes recruiter screen

  • 45 minutes hiring manager interview

  • 30 minutes VP of Human Resources Interview

  • Last interview with VP for the region you would be supporting

Pay & benefits:

  • Medical, dental, vision, 401K.

  • Base pay of $90,000-$100,000/yr (weekly pay) + $10K bonus ($2,500 each quarter based on performance).
