2+ years of experience building SaaS platforms with Ruby on Rails.
Familiarity with database design and performance optimization.
Exposure to modern Rails front-end technologies like Stimulus and Turbo.
Experience working on SaaS application performance and reliability improvements is a plus.
A desire and curiosity to grow your skills with Ruby on Rails.
A collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
A passion for writing clean, maintainable code and learning new technologies.
Empathy towards the user and a desire to improve the experience for all of our customers.
Interest in modern Rails practices and contributing to the Rails community.
Background or interest in security or IT.
Experience working in a remote-first or distributed team environment.
Develop and maintain features using Ruby on Rails.
Learn from senior engineers and grow your technical skills through mentorship and pair programming.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver user-focused solutions.
Participate in planning sessions, breaking down tasks, and estimating work.
Write tests and debug issues to ensure high-quality, reliable code.
Review code from peers and contribute to a culture of constructive feedback.
USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $123,000 USD and $167,000 USD, plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $111,000 CAD and $150,000 CAD, plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Our approach to remote work
