About the team

Zillow Home Loans is growing our team and we believe we make a difference in the lives of customers seeking to buy a home. The Mortgage loan closers will prepare closing documents using Loan Origination System (‘LOS”) and ensure that the documentation meets Federal and State compliance standards. Loan closers are responsible for checking the loan application package for completeness, scheduling the closing in collaboration with loan originators and outside parties. Mortgage Loan Closers also confirm the accuracy of terms and conditions of the loans as documents as they prepare for closing.

About the role

• Verify accuracy of final Closing Disclosure

• Confirm Closing Disclosure is in compliance

• Ensure Encompass records are current and accurate

• Review and utilize compliance system report to ensure all loan data is compliant

• Work with underwriters as needed

• Work with title companies and loan originators to help with a successful closing

• Prepare closing worksheet

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer and employee information

• Other projects and tasks as assigned

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.

In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $22.20 - $33.40 Hourly. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington state, and Washington DC and may not be applicable to other locations.

Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.

Who you are

• 3+ year’s prior experience in mortgage loan closing

• Experience with all loan types (Conventional, FHA, USDA and VA)

• Paperless mortgage file system experience is strongly preferred

• Familiarity with LOS Encompass is strongly preferred

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Product Suite

• Attention to detail with excellent written, verbal, and analytical skills

• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects and competing deadlines

• Ability to work collaboratively among cross-functional teams

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of customer and employee information

• Ability to actively listen and adapt to changing timelines/deadlines

• Mathematical skill is that of ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs

• Ability to multi-task and succeed in a fast-paced environment

• Strong problem-solving ability

• Ability to work overtime as needed is required
