Vice President, Sales & Partnerships

Vividly is the leading modern trade promotion management (TPM) solution built by and for the consumer packaged goods industry. Not familiar with trade promotion spend?  That’s OK.  Most people aren’t.  It’s an $8 trillion dollar problem that is ripe for disruption by an innovative SaaS startup.  In order to grow, consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands spend 20% of their topline revenue to get into retailers and promote their products within those retailers.  The problem is that today 70% of those promotions are not ROI positive. This is because ROI is hard to track.  The industry operates on emails, pdfs, and xls spreadsheets. At Vividly, we’re solving this massive problem with exciting tactics including AI, Machine Learning, and Fintech and adding value to everyone in the chain. Some of our customers include brands you may use and love - Liquid Death, Amy’s, and Laird Superfoods.

As the Vice President of Sales & Partnerships you will have the opportunity to

  • Lead the company through accelerated revenue growth while putting in place a sales strategy that balances what the company needs now what the company will need in 12 months, including a partnerships strategy that drives required growth.
  • Take personal ownership of revenue generation and lead by doing. This is a full-stack executive role, spanning strategy and tactical execution, and will be for the next 24 months.
  • Build and execute the partnership strategy for the company that drives required growth.
  • Partner with the CEO and collaborate closely with the rest of the executive team to provide general leadership to the whole company.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high quality, high potential members of the sales, solutions and partnerships teams.
  • Play a key role in pricing and packaging decisions and experimentation.
  • Identify and communicate appropriate measures of success for the sales and partnership functions. 
  • Lead sales expansion into larger, higher-revenue customers, as well as new verticals and geographies that align with overall company strategy.

Crucial Expertise That You Will Bring

  • You have been a Sales executive that successfully navigated high growth at a venture backed company ideally from $10 million to $50+ million in revenue. 
  • You have a proven track record of building an effective, high-caliber sales organization and strategy that included moving up market to enterprise.
  • You have expanded addressable market through some combination of expanding internationally, introducing new products and expanding into new sub-verticals.
  • Experienced with establishing and monetizing commercial partnerships.

  • Not being afraid to be hands-on as an executive to help the team and company grow while having strategic influence and an outlook that goes beyond just sales
  • Constantly wanting to learn and having the ability to be adaptable to a new environment. You do not just hit copy/paste from a former playbook. You are willing to experiment and try new things. 
  • Being an inspirational leader that can motivate a team through change and professional accomplishments
  • Partnering effectively cross functionally to influence and create alignment 
  • Operating like a founder of the business and constantly thinking about every aspect of the company

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to the office of finance or CPG customers
