Chief Operating Officer [HT-929953]

LAUNCH DEVELOPMENT FINANCE ADVISORS

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

THE PERSON

Are you energized by building teams, driving accountability, and bringing structure to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial business? Do you love helping people succeed while holding them to a high bar? Are you organized, action-oriented, and optimistic, with a sharp mind and a sense of humor? If so, we want to talk to you.

You might be our ideal COO if you are:

  • Highly Accountable: You do what you say and expect the same from others. You uphold high standards for yourself and others with focus and follow-through, without micromanaging. You know how to apply pressure with diplomacy and structure to make sure things get done.
  • Exceptionally Organized: You bring order to systems, communication, and priorities. You create a strong “backstage” so the team can shine, fostering cohesion where there’s ambiguity.
  • Process-Driven, with Flexibility: You build efficient, scalable workflows and know when to adapt. You sweat the details, create consistency, and hold the line once a process is in place.
  • Curious and Growth-Minded: You’re a learner who spots inefficiencies, asks insightful questions, and suggests better ways forward. You offer a fresh perspective, dig in to understand the business, and help lay the foundation for growth and scale.
  • A Sharp Problem-Solver: You think in “if/then” terms, get to root causes, and come with solutions. You develop operational frameworks that enable delivery while balancing cost, risk, and efficiency.
  • A People Leader: You’re empathetic and emotionally intelligent, leading through influence, not title. You coach, grow talent, and blend directness with respect, knowing culture is built through behavior.

You create clarity, drive traction, and make growth feel possible. As COO, you’ll be the operational anchor and leadership presence that empowers the Founder and elevates the team. If that sounds like you, apply today—we’d love to connect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The COO will serve as the strategic partner to the Founder and lead operations, infrastructure, and team coordination across the business, driving execution, alignment, and accountability at every level.

  • Anticipate challenges, drive accountability, and lead through change
  • Ensure cohesion across teams, priorities, and systems
  • Drive a culture of ownership and follow-through across the organization
  • Collaborate with business segment leaders to develop V/TOs (Vision/Traction Organizer), KPIs, and execution plans

Operations & Financial Infrastructure

  • Build and standardize systems, SOPs, digital tools, and file infrastructure across offices
  • Oversee invoicing, utilization tracking, monthly financial reporting, and budgeting
  • Lead EOS meetings, manage the V/TO, track Rocks and To-Dos, and ensure cross-functional responsibility
  • Monitor department-level KPIs, including marketing performance metrics, to ensure alignment with strategic goals

People & Talent Development

  • Coach managers on performance, leadership, and holding their teams accountable
  • Lead “Launch University” to scale onboarding and training
  • Support recruiting and organization structure for expansion offices
  • Build relationships with key external partners (e.g., LAO) to support growth and integration

Success Milestones

  • 3 Months: Meet with business segment team leaders to review and refine individual V/TOs and KPIs, develop execution plans, connect with Land Advisor Organization (LAO) partners, visit key sites, implement file and accounting systems, and identify top 5 process gaps
  • 6 Months: Core process game plans in place, 5+ systems implemented, onboarding launched
  • 12 Months: Core business segments executing consistently on V/TOs, Rocks, and resolving issues; LAO integration active, marketing systems running, office budgets aligned, Launch University live with 25+ modules
