Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to scheduling standards and project controls procedures across all phases of the project.
  • Develop and manage project milestones, progress tracking baselines, and work breakdown structures (WBS).
  • Analyze schedule data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; communicate findings to project leadership and recommend recovery strategies as needed.
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor schedule compliance and integration with the master schedule.
  • Provide resource analysis, assess availability impacts, and manage schedule contingency planning.
  • Lead schedule reporting, including forecast updates and earned value analysis, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment on schedule objectives and performance.
  • Mentor and support the development of junior planning staff and contribute to team growth.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
  • Graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a scheduling role within the construction industry, including direct experience on rail infrastructure projects (rail experience is required).
  • Experience of working in complex, fast paced, multi-stakeholder environments which require proactive coordination to ensure project/program success.
  • Practical exposure to network planning structures and techniques, experienced user of Primavera Project Planner 6.0 or above, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to assist with wider business initiatives as needed including responding to RFPs.
