Tito’s Handmade Vodka is seeking an experienced Buyer to be responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the company’s needs for direct and indirect materials. This is a full-time position based in Austin, Texas.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supports purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels
· Supports problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues
· Maintains positive supplier partnerships
· Sends RFQs and balances cost, quality and delivery when making assisting supplier selection
· Helps develop forecast and strategic sourcing splits between suppliers
· Assists in developing methods of business simplification for the procurement function
· Participates in the development of quality documents for the purchasing function
· Participates in cross-functional projects
· Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, logistics, procurement, or related field or equivalent experience
· 3-7 years of Purchasing/Planning experience
· Strong leadership skills
· Direct supplier relationship experience
· Ability to solve complex problems and exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
· Can explain difficult or sensitive information and transfer knowledge to others
· Holds knowledge of best practices and understands how own area integrates with others
