About the Position

Full-Time, Salary Exempt


We are seeking a motivated and analytical Associate Product Manager with a strong background in sports to organize the development and enhancement of our SaaS (Software as a Service) software products. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic vision, roadmap, and execution of our sports-focused software solutions, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our clients and users.


Responsibilities

The key responsibilities associated with this role are:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy and roadmap for our SaaS software products.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback to identify market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including customers, sales, marketing, and development teams, to define product requirements and prioritize feature development.
  • Translate customer insights and business requirements into clear and actionable product specifications, user stories, mockups, and acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with software development teams using Agile methodologies to deliver high-quality, scalable, and innovative software solutions on time and within budget.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of product initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for our sports-focused software products, providing guidance, training, and support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements related to sports software, and incorporate relevant insights into product planning and development.
  • Document and maintain clear, detailed development processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure alignment across teams and support ongoing efficiency and quality assurance.

Skills & Qualifications

The key skills associated with this role are:

  • Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in product management, consulting, business analysis, or related field.  Experience with product management tools (Jira, Figma, etc.). Experience with customer service solutions (Zendesk). Technical writing experience a plus.
  • Technical Skills:  Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Google Analytics).  Basic understanding of software development processes. Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Work Ethic: Self-Motivated, Strong work ethic with proven track record of dependability and consistency with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborative: Ability to gain the cooperation of others in the pursuit of company goals.  Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
