Join our team as a Validator! In this role, you will apply advanced levels of knowledge in a field of law to perform research activities regarding policies around health surveillance, health service delivery and social service delivery systems.

Qualifications
Required Education
Appropriate JD or PhD in a field related to health policy
Preferred Qualifications
Coursework, research, or applied experience in policies on health services or social services;
Coursework, research, or applied experience in empirical legal research (e.g., policy surveillance, legal epidemiology, legal mapping studies) or other qualitative analyses;
Applied policy experience in healthcare, health insurance, public health, or social services (e.g., prior work at a government agency);
Coursework, research, or applied experience in policies on foster care services;
Coursework, research, or applied experience in the legal or ethical issues related to data science, big data, surveillance.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Responsibilities
Research: Exploring legal, policy, or ethical issues relating to public health, public safety, and health and social services. Specific projects could include investigating policies relating to Medicaid, Mental/Behavioral Health, Foster Care Services, or Health Data Policy. Activities will include writing reports, papers, or proposals. Under general supervision, is responsible for conducting research into their field of expertise. Utilizes knowledge and skills granted to them by their education and expertise to complete research projects in their field of expertise. Assists with data management. Analyzes research data and summarizes results. Writes and may contribute to reports, research papers, articles, and publications.
Mentoring: May assist, mentor, and/or supervise student researchers and/or graduate students who are working on research related to the project, and lead other duties as assigned.
Presentations: Prepares presentation materials on research topic that may be presented to small and/or large groups. Actively participates in the preparation of required technical progress reports to research sponsors.
