Job Description

PURPOSE

The Program Coordinator I, under general supervision, coordinates the planning, development and implementation of assigned program.

DESCRIPTION

Functional Area 1: Program Coordination

Percent Effort: 50%

• Plans and implements programs and assists in their evaluation

• Compiles program statistics

• Plans and implements program events such as conferences, seminars, lectures, meetings and workshops

• May assist in preparation and monitoring of budgets for programs and events.

• Coordinates program communications and marketing

• Plans and implements programs and assists in their evaluation

Functional Area 2: Administrative

Percent Effort: 30%

• Monitors relevant media and institutional updates to anticipate and mitigate scheduling or operational impacts.

• May supervise program staff

• May assists in identifying funding opportunities

• Conducts post-engagement assessments and collaborates on updates to procedures and process improvements.

Functional Area 3: Support

Percent Effort: 20%

• Supports safety and operational readiness during large-scale onsite functions.

• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree

• Two (2) years of related experience

• Additional experience may be used as a substitute for the minimum education requirement:

  • Associate’s degree and four (4) years of related experience.

• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications.

• Interpersonal and communication skills.

• Planning and organization skills.

• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of related experience.

SALARY: Up to $51,000 /annually, approximately

• Up to $4,250 /monthly
