PURPOSE
To identify, cultivate, and solicit financial support for the Art Museum of South Texas and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi by developing and maintaining relationships with prospects and donors.
DESCRIPTION
Functional Area 1: Fundraising & Development Strategy
Percent Effort: 50%
Plan, coordinate, and implement development activities for the Art Museum of South Texas.
Lead solicitation of annual fundraising, foundation, individual, business, and corporate gifts.
Write and submit grant proposals aligned with institutional priorities.
Functional Area 2: Donor & Prospect Cultivation
Percent Effort: 30%
Cultivate donors and prospects through targeted communication, stewardship, and cultivation strategies.
Maintain records and generate reports using donor software (preferably Altru/Blackbaud).
Manage donor correspondence and engagement efforts.
Functional Area 3: Internal Collaboration and Program Coordination
Percent Effort: 20%
Collaborate with the Museum Director, board leadership, and staff to coordinate annual development goals.
Support and guide board members and volunteers in their fundraising roles.
Work with internal teams to align fundraising with exhibitions, programs, and events.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree
Two (2) years of related experience
Additional experience/education may be used as a substitute for the minimum education/experience requirement:
Associate’s degree and four (4) years of related experience.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
Experience cultivating and managing donor relationships
Proficiency in managing records, generating reports, and using donor software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree
Five (5) years of experience in development or fundraising
Experience with donor software, preferably Altru/Blackbaud
Experience working in a museum setting
SALARY: Up to $58,850/annually, approximately
Up to $4,904.17/monthly
