About This Role

We’re looking for a consulting Creative Director who thrives in collaboration and brings a sharp eye, a steady hand, and a supportive presence. As part of our Delivery team, you’ll operate as a consultant working across multiple accounts, guiding creative direction and elevating execution alongside our other consultants, including Designers, Creative Strategists (Copywriters), Project Managers, Email Developers, and Solution Architects. You’ll be hands-on in shaping campaign assets, ensuring visual consistency, and driving creative excellence across every touchpoint.

Stitch partners with marketing teams who use Braze as their customer engagement platform, and the designs you’ll help shape will appear across key channels, including email, in-app messages, and more.

The right candidate will be excited to work on a variety of projects and clients, excel with attention to detail, be comfortable executing high-quality work in a fast-paced environment (seriously, we move super fast!), and understand how to repurpose digital assets across multiple channels.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the creative lead across a portfolio of client accounts, overseeing the visual execution and brand integrity of campaign assets across channels
  • Help evolve Stitch’s creative processes, documenting best practices for design quality, internal reviews, and collaboration
  • Serve as a creative partner in client meetings, presenting work, gathering feedback, and ensuring alignment with brand objectives and guidelines
  • Immerse yourself in each client’s brand standards, guiding internal teams to consistently deliver on-brand, high-quality creative across channels
  • Apply a platform-aware lens to creative work, particularly in environments like Braze, ensuring assets render as intended and meet technical requirements
  • Provide direction, feedback, and QA for designers across accounts, supporting craft, consistency, and clarity
  • Collaborate with client partners and business strategists to define account needs, align on project scope, and support the overall health and success of each engagement
  • Step into creative conception or production when needed to support strategic moments or unblock delivery
  • Foster clear communication and alignment among creative team members, acting as a linchpin for creative direction across Stitch
  • Collaborate with both creative and technical teammates to ensure seamless campaign execution
  • Stay hands-on when needed, designing or producing assets where your contribution adds the most value
  • Share insights, case studies, and inspiration that contribute to Stitch’s broader creative perspective and thought leadership
  • Promote a collaborative and resilient creative culture by remaining positive, flexible, and supportive at every stage of the work

What Success Looks Like In This Role

  • You are confident in guiding creative direction across accounts, providing thoughtful feedback that improves the work while keeping things moving. You bring a sharp eye and clear point of view to every engagement, whether you’re reviewing assets, presenting to clients, or jumping into hands-on execution when needed.
  • Your toolkit is wide-ranging and well-used: modular templates, motion graphics, light animations, accessibility-forward layouts, and pixel-perfect precision. You know when the team should keep it simple and when to bring a little spark to the screen.
  • You bring a collaborative mindset to the table, working in lockstep with Production Designers, Creative Strategists (Copywriters), Email Developers, and Solution Architects to bring our clients’ campaigns to life seamlessly. You’re confident navigating and creating digital asset libraries, repurposing creative across formats, and building modular templates that make future work faster and smarter.
  • Not only are you a creative expert, but you’re also an incredible consultant. You show up to client meetings prepared, articulate, and engaged, offering design-forward solutions that are also rooted in platform reality (especially within Braze). You’re comfortable asking smart questions to uncover what the client really needs and helping them get there with creative that works across channels.
  • You show up to every meeting with our clients and other Stitchers prepared and engaged. Every point of communication - Slack, email, Zoom meeting, or in-person meeting - is an opportunity to impress our clients. You are responsive and work with a sense of urgency
  • You consistently meet deadlines. We know, we know, this seems obvious! But it’s important. We are a professional services business, so our success depends on the satisfaction of our clients. Meeting deadlines gives the Stitchers you’re collaborating with enough time to complete the tasks that are dependent on your work and ensures that our clients are successful
  • You manage your weekly schedule well to consistently meet Stitch’s broader quarterly billable targets. You’ll be juggling a variety of activities during the week including heads-down work, client meetings, Stitch office hours, pursuing certifications, and time-tracking. You may work with multiple clients at one time. Being intentional about organizing your schedule each week will help you feel prepared for the context-switching that consulting involves
  • 5+ years of experience as a Creative Director in a consulting or agency environment
  • Proven ability to lead the creative process from concept to execution across digital channels, especially email, in-app, and web
  • Fluent in current Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma
  • Experience building design systems from scratch
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, creative problem solving, and execution across a variety of brands and formats
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain and elevate brand standards across fast-moving, multi-channel campaigns
  • Comfortable operating in a platform-aware environment, ideally with experience designing for Braze or similar customer engagement platforms
  • Strong presentation and client-facing skills; you can clearly articulate creative decisions and respond to feedback with confidence and grace
  • Proven ability to give constructive feedback, guide other creatives, and ensure design excellence across teams and workstreams
  • Comfortable stepping into conceptual or hands-on design work when necessary
  • Experience working alongside both creative and technical collaborators
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
