Senior Manager - Financial Reporting

The Senior Manager of Financial Reporting is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the preparation, accuracy, and timeliness of internal and external financial reports. This individual will lead a team of accountants, ensure compliance with US GAAP and regulatory standards, and drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and systems. The role requires a strategic thinker who can balance operational execution with forward-looking financial insight.


How You Will Contribute
  • Oversee the revenue and investment income recognition process, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and summary reports for key stakeholders.
  • Closely partner with the fundraising team on all donor-related queries and read-outs.
  • Provide technical accounting guidance for transactions and contracts.
  • Manage and mentor a team of financial reporting professionals, fostering a culture of accountability, development, and performance.
  • Oversee the intranetwork (transfer pricing) invoicing process and ensure proper controls, review, and timely payment between entities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal) to support business initiatives and ensure alignment of financial reporting.
  • Monitor and implement new accounting standards and regulatory changes.
  • Lead special projects including system implementations, process automation, and reporting enhancements.
  • Support the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Support strategic initiatives by delivering ad hoc financial analysis and insights to senior leadership.


What You Will Bring
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial reporting, including public accounting and corporate reporting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks.
  • Extensive experience in analyzing and documenting conclusions for accounting transactions, including consolidation, eliminations, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex projects.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Concur, Blackline, Floqast, and advanced Excel skills.)
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities. Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
  • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. 


Stand Out Candidates Will Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred
  • Experience in nonprofit organizations.
  • Experience with Power BI or Tableau
