The Transition to Practice Educator provides continued educational support, training and mentoring to new nurses in the clinical area. Ensuring a smooth transition to practice by providing unit-based support, coordinating the needs and resources for each new nurse by follow up during and after the orientation period. The Transition to Practice Educator will serve as a clinical liaison between education and clinical managers/coordinators to facilitate a timely release from orientation by assessing needs and performance in live time. Once needs are identified, targeted knowledge and skill deficits can be addressed through the coordination of available resources. Addressing the specific needs of each new nurse will ensure their role development success as well as enhance patient outcomes.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING 1. Must have a current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State. 2. Current BLS (ARC or AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current. 3. Minimum of 2 years acute care experience. 4. Minimum of 1 year preceptor experience 5. BSN preferred

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $83,200.00 to $103,646.40 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
