Skills
- Experience with EMC/EMI testing methodologies and instrumentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and controlled documentation.
- Fabrication skills for electro-mechanical test fixtures and harnesses.
- Competence in using spectrum analyzers, VNAs, oscilloscopes, and other RF test equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic scripting skills in Python for test automation and logging.
- Ability to draft electrical schematics and mechanical structures using CAD tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform EMC/EMI emission and immunity testing on electrical systems and components for aerospace applications.
- Design and fabricate electro-mechanical assemblies, harnesses, and test fixtures based on conceptual drawings.
- Operate spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, power meters, amplifiers, and oscilloscopes.
- Conduct antenna and shielding effectiveness measurements independently and document test results precisely.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems with minimal supervision during test procedures.
- Support engineers and test management in standardized and research & development testing activities.
- Maintain test equipment, oversee calibration, and ensure test facilities readiness.
Education
- Associate's degree in electronics or related technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
