Technical Onboarding Engineer
Skills
- Strong BI development experience with Tableau, Looker, PowerBI, Sisense, Qlik, or Thoughtspot
- Cloud data warehouse knowledge such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or BigQuery
- Hands-on SQL proficiency
- Experience with dimensional data models and data shaping techniques
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
- Ability to translate complex technical issues for varied audiences
Responsibilities
- Drive new customer onboarding focused on adoption and self-sufficiency
- Guide BI developers on Sigma-specific methodologies
- Tailor implementation designs to customer skill sets
- Teach best practices relevant to customer use cases and skills
- Define successful onboarding paths based on customer needs and purchase drivers
- Manage key customer milestones from sales handoff to go-live
- Create feedback loops to Product, Support, and Sales teams
- Identify and resolve onboarding blockers proactively
- Provide BI implementation expertise in best practices, data modeling, BI usage patterns, performance optimization, and security
- Document and cross-train team members on new knowledge
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent technical experience
