Job Description/Responsibilities

The Strategic Account Manager - Walmart will be primarily focused on the Private Label (PL) portfolio, secondarily on the priority brands identified for National Accounts. This role is critical in executing the Walmart strategy and is responsible for identifying opportunities and developing fact-based selling stories that drive distribution and programming. This role requires a very analytical mind-set, intellectual curiosity, and strong technical skills. It also requires experience working with Walmart and strong communication and relationship building skills. This role will report to the Walmart National Account Manager and will work directly with Walmart Buyers and Replenishment Manager, distributors, and internal Sazerac cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):

  • Grow overall Sazerac volume & share growth on both Private Label and National Brands (where applicable)
  • Build Private Label Brands and launch innovation across the PL portfolio
  • Work with operations and supply chain to launch new Private Label items and work with distributors to ensure proper item setup and ordering of new items and ongoing inventory management to maintain instocks
  • Monitor inventory levels both at the state level with distributors and at store level in DSD states and analyze replenishment settings in warehouse/control states to maintain 97% instocks
  • Manage Walmart pricing and item maintenance through SIM
  • Fully accountable for setting up and managing the Private Label pricing structures for Walmart
  • Strengthen existing and develop new relationships with key Walmart personnel across the merchandising teams and replenishment teams. Focus on driving the current business and incorporate longer-term, strategic planning for PL portfolio.
  • Develop tools and processes that lead to insights and actions. Likely sources will include Nielsen, iDig/VIP, COGNOS, and Excel.

Qualifications/Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant sales, sales analytics or replenishment experience with Walmart at a regional/national level
  • Minimum 3 years of Off Premise key account or national account experience in CPG or alc bev industry
  • Strong analytical, technical, planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
  • A valid driver's license
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field
