The Per Diem Professional Learning Partner (6-12 ELA) role involves providing on-site professional development and support to educators in the West region, specifically California, to enhance the implementation of Savvas Learning products in classrooms.

Responsibilities: Deliver core content and supplemental professional development, coach teachers, observe classroom practices, utilize data for instruction, and provide technical support to district personnel.

Skills: Experience in K-12 education, strong collaboration and communication skills, proficiency with technology integration, and ability to coach teachers effectively.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required, M.A. preferred, and 5+ years of teaching experience in ELA. Experience with differentiated instruction and workshop facilitation is a must.

Location: California, USA

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $35 - $60 per hour.

The Per Diem Professional Learning Partner (6-12 ELA) is an onsite representative of Savvas Learning Company helping to initiate lasting change in districts and schools by delivering core content, intervention and supplemental professional development, Change of Practice, and Job-embedded services. This resource provides individual and group support for district personnel and school faculty to incorporate effective strategies into classroom practice.

Additional responsibilities include delivering professional development and technical assistance to schools that have contracted with Savvas for professional development and job-embedded services. In addition, this position requires deep knowledge and extensive experience with academia, standards-based school reform and the ability to deliver high quality job-embedded professional development and site-based technical support to school personnel using innovative Savvas products, technology resources and/or research-based methodologies for school turn around.

Desired applicants must have 5+ years of successful teaching experience in a K-5th school setting and preference will be given to candidates who can provide evidence through demonstration of existing knowledge of Savvas products, experience in effective coaching and training to teachers and teacher leaders. Applicants will also be required to use a personal laptop for this position.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.A. preferred.

• Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher and at least five years of successful experience as a 6-12 professional in the ELA content area.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequent travel up to 70% is a significant part of this role, especially during peak times. This will involve overnight stays and working hours that typically extend beyond the traditional l business hours, including evenings and weekends. 
• Must have flexibility in travel and readiness to adjust plans as required to meet business needs, sometimes at short notice, are essential for this role.
