Para Los Niños is seeking a Grants Writer to join their external affairs team. The role involves strategizing, writing, and managing grant proposals and reports to support the organization's mission of helping children and families in Los Angeles.
Responsibilities: Develop and submit grant proposals, collaborate with various teams for proposal design, conduct prospect research, maintain relationships with funders, and oversee grants management practices.
Skills: Exceptional written communication, familiarity with the nonprofit landscape, proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant management software, and bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, at least 4 years in grant writing or related fields, and a strong passion for educational and social services.
Location: Los Angeles, California, with a requirement for reliable transportation to attend in-person meetings.
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between $55,000 - $75,000.

Position Overview
As a member of the external affairs team, the Grant Writer (writer) will play a critical role in the identification, solicitation, and stewardship of institutional grants. The Writer will interact with PLN funders, stakeholders, and staff to write grant applications and reports; record funding opportunities and requirements; and maintain external and internal relationships as an ambassador of PLN.
The Writer will report directly to the Director of Grants Partnerships and collaborate closely with the Grants and Stewardship Coordinator, Managing Director of External Affairs, and Vice President of External Affairs. In addition, the Writer will interact regularly with PLN program and fiscal leaders.
