Director of Talent

Radiant is a clean energy startup based in El Segundo, CA, developing the world's first portable nuclear microreactor. They seek a strategic and hands-on Director of Talent Acquisition to build and scale their recruiting function, focusing on attracting top-tier talent across technical and corporate areas to support their groundbreaking energy solutions.

Skills

  • Proven expertise in technical talent acquisition within hardware and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and scaling recruiting teams.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic, data-driven recruiting practices.
  • Deep knowledge of multi-region recruiting markets, labor laws, and compensation.
  • Excellent negotiation, storytelling, and coalition-building skills.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to counsel leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and scale a high-performing talent acquisition team across engineering, operations, and corporate functions.
  • Partner with leadership to forecast talent needs and define hiring priorities aligned with technical and commercial goals.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure hiring compliance and budget alignment.
  • Assess multi-state talent markets and develop geographic-specific recruiting strategies.
  • Implement data-driven recruiting practices that uphold quality and employer brand.
  • Drive proactive sourcing strategies and build pipelines for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Manage executive recruitment and partner agency oversight.
  • Represent Radiant at industry events and strategic recruiting opportunities.
  • Continuously optimize recruiting tools, processes, and metrics for efficiency and scalability.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
