POSITION SUMMARY:

Sneaker Color & Concept Designer closely with the Design Director to provide seasonal color, material and trim direction focused on Sneakers.

Principal function is to translate the brand direction in seasonal, trend-relevant concepts at product and assortment level.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Research industry trends and translate to brand appropriate concepts
  • Create foundational and seasonal color strategies aligned to brand direction, to demonstrate color and concept flow for sneakers
  • Build out inspirational seasonal capsules for design team to work-into through research, mood and cad presentations that clearly communicate design intend
  • Collaborate with internal footwear, accessories, and concept designers for lifestyle alignment and connect sneaker category storytelling
  • Explain color technology, desired effects on different materials and finishes
  • Establish and manage color standard and material library
  • Lead all aspects of color approval process
  • Review assortment cads and support creation of presentations for leadership review
  • Execute color detailing on product and review samples, troubleshoot and communicate changes toward next stages of development
  • Support creating presentation tools for internal milestones and creation of sales tools
  • Conduct foundational and seasonal innovation research projects
  • Create off-season innovation pipeline

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:           

  • At least 8-10 years of demonstrative experience in footwear business, in a color, material, design role.
  • Ability to collaborate with designers and cross-functional roles of all levels.
  • Ability to communicate to senior management in a clear, precise, and effective manner.
  • Must demonstrate curiosity and is motivated to learn new skills and knowledge.

          

Education:

  • B.A. (or higher) in Design, Graphic Design, Art, or Product Development.

          

Skills:                           

  • Highly skilled in color and material technology
  • Highly skilled in working with teams and cross functional partners to achieve desired effects
  • Use strong project management abilities (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, closing) to balance multiple projects and objectives while adapting to changing priorities and demands.
  • Proficient in MS Office suites, Adobe Suite, Keynote, Miro

Pay Range:$121,400---$164,300

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills. PVH is committed to providing a market-competitive total rewards package to eligible associates, which includes diverse and robust health and insurance benefits to meet the varied needs of our associates and an above-market 401(k) contribution to help our associates save for retirement. We also offer career growth opportunities, empowering our associates to design their future at PVH.

Additional Compensation: This role is bonus eligible.
