Retention Project Director

Description

As a Project Director within the Account Solutions department, you will serve as a critical final filter for Purelight Power’s solar, roofing, and battery projects. Whether it's assisting with a customer’s request to cancel or stepping in during an advanced support scenario, you will lead with empathy, urgency, and creativity to uncover issues and offer solutions that help projects move forward—or reach a proper resolution utilizing training and tools provided. Your goal is to connect with customers first, gather accurate information, align expectations, and provide a path forward that restores confidence in the process. Every project saved is a win for the customer, the company, and the planet.


Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and manage daily account assignments from the Account Solutions Lead.
  • Connect with customers quickly to assess their understanding of the project and concerns.
  • Identify where a project has gone off track within the pipeline.
  • Provide creative, out-of-the-box solutions tailored to each project scenario.
  • Resolve accounts decisively by either pushing the project forward or finalizing it with appropriate documentation.
  • Maintain accurate notes and status updates in Salesforce or project management tools such as the Google Suite, Dialpad, Lending portals, etc.
  • Communicate effectively across departments to gather missing information or escalate issues.
  • Help reset customer expectations while maintaining Purelight’s reputation for service and integrity.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think on your feet.
  • Empathetic and clear communicator—both verbal and written.
  • Experience in customer service, account management, or sales retention (solar or home services experience is a plus).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of outcomes.

Compensation

  • Base Pay: $20.67 per hour
  • Additional Compensation: Commission + based earnings
  • Estimated Annual Earnings: $60,000 to $100,000+, depending on performance and success in managing accounts (includes both base pay and commissions)
