JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Lehigh Valley is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Women's Volleyball Assistant Coach.

The Assistant Coach assists the Head Coach with management of the program with emphasis on, but not limited to, the following:

Assists with all aspects of the recruiting process, gathering, preparing and presenting scouting materials
Helps mentor student-athletes to foster athletic, academic, emotional and social growth
Assists with film exchange
Practice planning and skill development
Team travel; assists with purchasing/inventory of equipment; assists in organization of sport camps
Coordinates visiting team requests; coordinates with athletic department personnel and other University units
Compiles and maintains statistical information
Supervises student managers and other ancillary personnel
Professional development; coordinates team community service
Represents Head Coach at intercollegiate athletics, alumni, and University events when required
Performs requested responsibilities with booster club; assists with fund raising; available for media requests; and performs other duties as assigned by the Head Coach
Adheres to all University, conference and NCAA rules and regulations while promoting the core values and strategic goals of intercollegiate athletics

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
