Presbyterian is seeking a Scheduling Customer Service Rep! Schedulers are responsible for providing customer service for patients needing appointments, referrals, messaging assistance, and maintaining patient demographics.

This position is eligible for the Northern New Mexico differential of $4.00 per hour. (This differential may be adjusted or discontinued based on business requirements.)
Responsible for providing customer service for patients, including triage, scheduling appointments, referrals, messaging, and maintaining patient demographics.
Respond to incoming calls using skill-based technology, ensuring quality and efficiency. Ready to take calls at scheduled times and resolve contacts on the initial encounter. Conduct outbound calls as needed, meeting quality and quantity guidelines.
Act as a patient/member advocate when dealing with practitioners, employer groups, and brokers. Maintain high standards in customer interactions to promote satisfaction and loyalty.
Assist in developing and documenting process improvements. Identify patterns in inquiries, conduct root cause analysis, and report findings to management.
Investigate inquiries and special projects, ensuring accurate benefit interpretation. Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and databases to provide clear responses. Reference documentation to ensure consistent and accurate information.
Actively contribute to team efforts and process improvement initiatives. Participate in internal and cross-functional teams to enhance service quality.
Record all customer interactions (calls, emails, faxes, walk-ins) in databases for analysis.
Assist in organizing meetings for training, contracting, and reporting purposes.
Manage patient encounters, including scheduling, registration, co-pay collection, financial arrangements, charge posting, and reconciliation.
