Role Overview
Technical Program Managers (TPMs) are the engine that drives our clients’ success. They are adept communicators with strong technical knowledge and a knack for problem solving. This TPM will be functioning as part of a strategic account team and will represent the elite skills that Pointr offers their clients.
At Pointr, we empower TPMs to partner with clients and internal teams to deliver premiere indoor technology solutions. To that end, they are comfortable operating in a flat, fast-paced organization and are energized by leveraging cutting-edge technology to create the future of indoor experiences.
At its core, this role requires the TPM to combine tactical execution skills with strategic expertise to lead cross-functional teams through multiple, often concurrent project lifecycles.
Core Responsibilities
Own requirements gathering, project planning, implementation, and deployment support for our global clients and partners
Proactively partner with commercial and technical stakeholders, regularly educating them on Pointr’s solutions and deployment process while serving as a key partner to their success
Closely collaborate with developers, designers, and deployment managers to integrate Pointr’s suite of technology with client applications
Investigate and diagnose hardware and software challenges alongside Pointr’s delivery teams to ensure solution quality and sustainability
Facilitate client status meetings to manage scope and schedule of multiple, often concurrent deployments
Learn! Master Pointr’s product suite to better understand how clients can use our technology and in turn supplement our product roadmap

A Day in the Life
As part of this role, you will be responsible for the projects surrounding one of our largest strategic partners. You will be responsible for managing over 30 customer experience centers and their ongoing activities, incoming deployment requests for our strategic partner’s clients usually resulting in 5 to 10 small deployment projects at any given time, and usually one or two longer term, multi-layer projects for their esteemed clients. You will communicate and work across multiple platforms, both internally for Pointr, and externally to the Partner. This position is fast-paced, requires attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a higher level of organizational skills than our regular clients.
Morning
Review incoming requests from the night before and strike appropriate priorities or dates
Check status of ongoing requests and deployment tasks in Jira.
Put together a status report for our Partner. Post to appropriate key stakeholders and/or to their project system.
Have a stand-up with internal team to help clear hurdles, identify risk and provide guidance on incoming activities.
Coordinate with marketing team for go-to-market needs across the various projects
Afternoon
Meetings with our partner’s clients, knowing when to step in to give more clarity to technology or deployment process or stepping back to allow our partner to lead the conversation.
Answering questions from various partner stakeholders about ongoing activities through their communication platform.
Work on end client presentations and status reports for upcoming kick off meetings
Work on project timelines for major deployments.
Participate in product development meetings to contribute client sentiments and needs as a result of your interaction through projects.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of IT project or program management or technical consultancy experience in a hardware or software company
A self-starter by nature with applied knowledge of agile software development processes and a strong interest in learning about indoor location technology

Preferred Qualifications
BS or MS degree in a relevant technology or management field (Computer Science is a plus)
Experience with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite, MS Office, MS Project)
Project Management Professional® (PMP) / Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) certifications preferred
