Who are we?

We are a healthcare AI early-stage company. When health insurance companies deny medical treatments, our tech-enabled service uses AI to write appeals for patients, with a 90% success-rate in overturning denials. Check out our website here.

Our founding team: Alex was a product manager at Meta and Microsoft and a serial startup founder (including directly building the tech as a founder of a previous startup), and Haley was an engineer at a top healthtech company (Medtronic). Malcolm led a healthcare nonprofit and has been writing insurance appeals for 3+ years.

Our progress so far:

  • Attained product-market fit as a services business, and we have an established operational process. Now, we've going B2B.

  • Won patients $2.5M in health insurance coverage. (We’ve been operating since May 2023, generating revenue from day 1 as a bootstrapped services business.)

  • Won the Stanford Impact Founder and IDIF fellowships, as well as seven startup competitions. Here is a Stanford article about us. 

  • We've established 13 business partnerships, with more coming soon.

  • We have more customer-demand than we can serve.

We have VC funding and ample runway.

But generative AI has the power to level the playing-field between regular people and large organizations by doing the paperwork and jumping through hoops, which enables individuals to stand up for themselves across healthcare and beyond.

Background on health insurance denials: 15% of all health insurance claims are denied, and denial-rates rose by 18% from 2020 to 2023, in part due to insurance companies using AI to deny claims. Less than 1% of patients appeal their denials, yet over 40% of those appeals are successful. (And our appeals have a denial-overturn rate of >90%.)
