Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Site Coordinator to provide dedicated support to a complex electrical project that spans multiple physical locations both on and off Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) site in support of the Federal Project Director (FPD) at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Los Alamos Project Management Office, NA-95. In this role, the successful candidate under broad direction from the contract manager and FPD, will use their extensive skills and knowledge base to independently plan, organize, and execute tasks related to maintaining operational compliance and positive relationships with external entities, and ensure overall project success. This includes proactively identifying and prioritizing tasks, setting deadlines, managing competing priorities, and resolving conflicts. The Coordinator exercises a high degree of independence in determining the best approach for achieving project goals, including researching relevant protocols (such as special use permit conditions), identifying and attending necessary training, and proactively communicating potential impacts of events to the project team.
The Project Site Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between the Federal Project Director and external stakeholders, including Los Alamos Site Office staff, US Forest Service (USFS) personnel, and Bureau of Land Management (BLM) representatives. In addition, they interact regularly with a diverse group including Management and Operations (M&O) contractor staff (project management team, project engineers, construction managers, and subcontractor technical representatives), design-build subcontractors, the commissioning agent, and the owner's engineer as well as other NA-95 team members.
