About Obvio AI

Each year, more than 7,500 pedestrians are killed by drivers in the U.S.—a number that has increased by 70% over the past decade. Despite growing awareness, most cities still struggle to curb dangerous driving. “Vision Zero” efforts across the country are falling short.

Obvio AI exists to change that.

We deploy solar-powered, AI-assisted cameras to enforce traffic laws where pedestrians are most vulnerable—automating enforcement in ways that police departments or traditional systems cannot. Our approach has already led to a dramatic reduction in reckless driving and improved safety for pedestrians, drivers, and law enforcement alike.

Founded by the team behind Motive’s AI dashcam, Obvio is backed by Bain Capital Ventures and Khosla Ventures. We recently raised a $22M Series A and are working with some of the most forward-thinking cities in the country. With meaningful revenue, a massive market, and strong policy momentum, we’re building the intelligence layer for safer streets globally.

About the Role

Our company is unique: we pass legislation, we sell to cities, we partner with non-profit advocates – everything about this requires thoughtful, emotional, and creative story-telling that can help inform & educate many groups of people ranging from policy-makers to coalitions to average drivers.

We're seeking a Head of Marketing to help tell the story of how we can revolutionize traffic safety, help ensure Obvio’s brand as a trusted safety partner to communities, and help us grow the business.

What You’ll Do

  • Position Obvio as the most trusted name in traffic safety to city leaders, government agencies, advocates, and the public

  • Turn our #LetsDriveSafer campaign into the next Vision Zero, growing a national coalition of cities and advocates

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create collateral, campaigns, and case studies

  • Produce compelling storytelling through video, earned media, and social channels

  • Manage speaking engagements, conferences, press outreach, and media strategy

What We’re Looking For

  • 8+ years in marketing, ideally in high-growth startups with a focus on brand development

  • Strong creative instincts with a willingness to experiment with new formats and platforms

  • Deep experience crafting emotional, viral, and thoughtful content across digital, social, print, PR, video, and grassroots channels

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage campaigns, and drive measurable outcomes

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in cross-functional leadership

  • A passion for public impact, civic innovation, or traffic safety

Bonus Points

  • An understanding of legislation or city/state-level governments

  • Previously worked at a company that interacted with public policy

  • Experience with push polls, public opinion polls, and other methods associated with public campaigns
