Description

At Northrop Grumman, our employees have incredible opportunities to work on revolutionary systems that impact people's lives around the world today, and for generations to come. Our pioneering and inventive spirit has enabled us to be at the forefront of many technological advancements in our nation's history - from the first flight across the Atlantic Ocean, to stealth bombers, to landing on the moon. We look for people who have bold new ideas, courage and a pioneering spirit to join forces to invent the future, and have fun along the way. Our culture thrives on intellectual curiosity, cognitive diversity and bringing your whole self to work — and we have an insatiable drive to do what others think is impossible. Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.

Northrop Grumman's Corporate Asset Services team is seeking an experienced IT Asset Management (ITAM) Analyst to oversee and manage the lifecycle of IT Assets within classified environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at asset tracking and reporting in secure environments and will demonstrate proactive stewardship of all hardware and software assets.  The ITAM analyst will ensure compliance with policies and procedures to optimize asset utilization and minimize risks. Please note that the selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Linthicum, MD or Annapolis Junction, MD campus - this is not a remote work opportunity.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Maintain accurate inventory of all IT assets (hardware, software, peripheral devices).

  • Track asset lifecycle from acquisition to decommission in accordance with policies.

  • Ensure proper labeling, logging, and disposal of assets and components.

  • Coordinate with security, facilities, and IT Teams to support secure asset movement and installations.

  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliation to verify asset data accuracy and compliance.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize asset utilization.

  • Manage asset records in the enterprise asset management system.

  • Provide guidance to technical teams on classified asset handling procedures and best practices.

  • Respond to incident investigations or data calls involving assets in the environment.

  • Participate and support Configuration Management and Change control boards when asset changes are involved.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree with 14 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 8 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent with 16 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree.

  • Applicants must have an active DoD Top Secret level security clearance (at a minimum), to include a closed investigation date completed within the last 6 years, or must be enrolled in the DoD Continuous Evaluation Program (CEP), in order to be considered; the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

  • The selected candidate must agree to submit and successfully complete a polygraph examination as a condition to retain access to special program(s), and as a condition of continued employment.

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment.

  • 5+ years of IT asset management experience, with 2+ years in a classified environment.

  • Experience working under strict compliance and security guidelines.

  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management principles and best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of IT procurement processes and experience with vendor management.

  • Familiarity with asset management tools (E.g. FlexNet Manager Suite, Software Asset Optimization, and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Current DoD polygraph.

  • Experience with Flexera Suite of products.

  • Experience with SAP POs and reporting.

  • Previous work experience with DoD agencies or federal contracts.

  • Industry certifications such as ITIL, CSAM, and/or CHAMP.
