Job Description

Operating Room Service Coordinator | Josie Robertson Surgery Center | NYC

Exciting Opportunity at MSK: MSK is looking for an Operating Room Service Coordinator to join our team at the Josie Robertson Surgery Center! By executing key administrative functions, you will play an integral role in ensuring organized and successful OR processes.

Role Overview:

• Promote teamwork with nursing and surgical personnel to provide efficient, safe, quality services.
• Use your superb communication skills effectively with patients, guests, and medical staff to provide support and achieve goals.
• Partner with nursing, medical, and allied health professional staff to promote a harmonious working environment.
• Respond to departmental calls, inquiries, or requests in a timely and courteous manner.
• Implement contingency plans such as changing patient case orders to ensure the smooth operation of the schedule, and advise appropriate personnel of unscheduled changes to meet unit needs.

Key Qualifications:

• A minimum of 1 year of clerical experience in an acute care setting
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Core Skills:

• Familiar with computers in order to input, retrieve data, and produce standard reports.
• Able to provide clear directions and handle heavy workloads in a dynamic surgical unit.
• A strong performer with stellar administrative skills able to thrive in a busy work environment.
• Adept at building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives and goals.
• Approachable and comfortable working with diverse groups of people.

Additional Information:

• Location: Josie Robertson Surgery Center - 1133 York Avenue, New York, NY
• Shift: 10-hour flex shifts 7am - 7pm; Monday through Friday

Pay Range: $23.54-$35.44
