Senior Software Engineer - Functional

Senior Engineer (Charlotte, NC- Hybrid). (multiple positions). Responsible for solution design, build, testing, configuration, solution delivery and support for SAP TM products across Maersk Inland Platform and business units. Review new business requirements in SAP Transportation management for North American markets. Responsible for preparing business blueprint documents for integration requirements. Present new requests and solution gap proposals to global development team. Ensure design is followed during build and support. Ensure on-time delivery of solutions by removing bottlenecks. Comply with Enterprise architecture and global template guidelines. Oversee product performance. Responsible for GO-LIVEs and hyper care support in SAP transportation module. Liaise with transportation planners to validate business requirements, testing and fixing issues. Promote reuse of existing functionalities. Discuss on-going issues and resolve business critical issues with minimum business disruption. Ensure business is not negatively impacted by the launch of new applications or changes in existing ones. Validate results with transportation management team. Ensure alignment on system behavior vs transportation operations. Support external users on carrier portal issues. Perform market acceptance testing. Limited domestic and international travel to Maersk company and client sites. May be able to work from home occasionally as permitted. Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, and two (2) years work experience in the job offered or in a related position working in an Agile delivery environment. In the alternate, Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position working in an Agile delivery environment. Also requires two (2) years of experience in each: (1) implementing SAP TM module with MM, SD, and FI/CO modules; (2) SAP supply chain architectural design and SAP TM upgrades to improve functional product versions; (3) SAP TM Integration with 3PL applications using supplier portal/EDI; (4) solution design and development experience with SAP Transportation Management system; and (5) improving TM System to accelerate business and troubleshooting issues related to product support.
