Macmillan Learning is seeking a Vice President of Strategy and Business Development to lead strategic planning, business development, and M&A initiatives while driving innovative educational solutions.
Responsibilities: Key responsibilities include monitoring market intelligence, collaborating on corporate strategies, and overseeing business development and strategic partnerships.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and expertise in corporate development or strategy consulting are required, along with the ability to utilize AI/ML in market analysis.
Qualifications: Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience; an MBA is preferred, as well as familiarity with the educational publishing and edtech sectors.
Location: This position is located in Austin, Texas, with a preference for candidates from Austin or San Francisco.
Compensation: $175000 - $225000 / Annually

The Vice President of Strategy and Business Development leads Macmillan Learning's strategic planning, business development, and, as opportunistically needed, merger & acquisition (M&A) initiatives. This executive role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing supporting business strategies, and driving strategic initiatives that align with the company's vision and goals. This role does not have managerial responsibilities.

Must be able for long periods to multitask in an fast paced, open office environment, travel occasionally, and work more than 40 hours a week, as needed.
